Life Time Fitness to Open in Austin

Life Time Fitness Inc. will open a sports and athletic, recreation, fitness, and spa center in South Austin on Oct. 13.

The 110,000 square foot center, located on South MoPac between William Cannon Drive and Convict Hill Road, is the company’s second location in Austin. The first location opened on RR 620 in Northwest Austin in November 2004 with a 110,000 square foot center.
A special VIP preview for the new location will take place on Oct. 11 at 6:45 p.m. Life Time Fitness members and area residents will tour the new center and experience program demonstrations and activities.
Life Time Fitness South Austin will provide 24-hour access and have more than 400 workout machines. The center will have free classes, rock climbing walls, five full-size basketball and sports courts, squash and racquetball courts, and a dry sauna.
In addition the center will also have hair, nail and skin care services, therapeutic massage and a cafe.
With the new location, Life Time (NYSE: LTM) will have 12 centers in Texas. Nationwide, Life Time has 58 centers in 12 states.
